No Excuses! I'm going to loose the weight, and you can too!!

Why do people make excuses for why they have extra weight? Why do they make excuses for not working out? Because they don’t have the know how nor the motivation to lose the weight, and workout! Sitting at a desk job all day does wear you out, but that doesn’t mean that you need to avoid the gym, or even your own living room!

I know what it’s like to make excuses all day every day about why you can’t go and work out or why you can’t eat clean, but it’s really not that hard! I personally don’t have the resources to make meals for a whole week, nor do I want to (the same thing 1-2 times a day, 7 days a week?? Mmmmm no.) I do however, make 2 meals a day, I take them the next 2 days for lunches. I don’t make my own separate dinner, I simply am more cautious about what we eat so as to stick to my personal macros and goals that I have set. This may mean I eat a whole lot of salad, or I avoid a hamburger bun. Nothing so drastic that I am a burden on the lifestyle that we live. I diet in an intuitive way, I listen to my body, and make sure to cut back on my unhealthy habits where and when I can.

Exercise? I had signed up for a gym membership and then shut it down long before I even went in! Why? 2 things, 1 it was so far from home that I would be getting up at 3:30 just to go and put in a 30 minute workout before I went in to work. Not the most pleasant time to wake up. They also jacked up the rates on my membership! Darn near doubled it! So I made sure and shut down that ASAP! For now I am working out at home and when me and my boyfriend get back from visiting his family for thanksgiving, I will be signing up at a much closer gym. I wont be going in every single day, but I will for sure be going in when I want more weight or to do cardio (at least 3 times a week.) and when the boyfriend wants to go swim, or play racquetball.

Plan the PERFECT Christmas Party

Complete Christmas Party Planning Guide 2016

Step 1: Make your guest list

I always say to make your guest list so that 1. You know how many people are coming and can adjust what you need to make, buy, etc. for when they do come and 2. So that you know the ages of kids that are coming and can make sure there is plenty to do for anyone of any age, no one sitting alone in the corner! That’s never fun! And of course, having tons of activities will be sure to make this a party to remember!

Step 2: Choose A Start Time:

When it comes to deciding on a start time there are a few things you will want to consider, the ages of who’s coming (too late and you get moody kids! Too early and you will either get super stressed out trying to get everything ready, or you won’t get everything ready in time!)

If it’s a kid focused party earlier in the day tends to be better, so they are still happy and ready to play with each other, not grumpy and ready to go home! With a kid friendly party whether it be a sleep over or not, I suggest you start around 2. Gives the kids plenty of time to do all the planned activities, and play before they are either put to bed, or head home for the night.

An adult party is a whole different story, you can start one around 5 or 6 pm and go as late as people want, depending on if there is alcohol involved or not, it can either be a some come and go, or a family style sleep over with parents and kids. (I did these all the time as a kid and everyone had fun! Gave the moms a chance to get away from the house, kids got to hang out and have fun, and all the dads could go out and watch a game or something. Guess I never really know what they can do.)

Step 3: Choose Activities for The Party

When it comes to choosing the activities that you will set up and have at your party, it can vary, you don’t need anything too fancy! My above all favorite party to have would be a cookie decorating party. Everyone brings in 2 dozen cookies, any type, then all the kids sit down and get to decorate their cookies, and get a few of all different kinds of cookies to take home without moms and dads having to bake and clean up the messes that come with holiday baking! (This one brings some coordination, you don’t want everyone to show up with the same 2 kinds of cookies!)

There are so many fun holiday games that you can set up and play, some are for the younger guest, and some are fantastic for anyone and everyone. You can do pin the antler on the reindeer, snow bowling, there are so many ideas out there! Don’t be afraid of pinterest! There are so many awesome ideas on their, you can find ANYTHING you could possibly need!

Step 4: Make a Menu (If it’s what you want to do.)

Depending on the type of party and the length of the party, if you plan on feeding your guests, make sure and decide on what you want well in advance so you have plenty of time to get it ready! You can buy fruit and cheese platters for an appetizer plate, but honestly in the end its cheapest if you cut it all up yourself, and you can do it a few days in advance and keep it in the fridge!

You can always have a party where you invite the guests to bring a menu item each. This once again, like the cookie party, does require some planning so that you don’t all bring dessert (heck actually, im not opposed!)

Step 5: Address Invitations and Mail Out!

Step 6: Plan out Decorations

Step 7: Shop

Step 8: Prep Prep Prep!

Figure out everything that you can make in advance, either games, cookies, foods, and decorations and start your prep work about 1-2 weeks before (depending on the size of the party and the intricacy of the items you are trying to prep!)

Step 9: Set Up and Day of!

This is when its great to have kids! Recruit everyone with their own specific duties to make the day run smooth, don’t try and overload yourself or you will get burnt out very quickly! Most times, if you offer a friend some coffee and treats, they would be happy to bring their family over and pitch in!

Step 10: Enjoy your party!

Last Minute AWESOME Halloween Party for Kiddos!

 Non-Scary Halloween Party!

Halloween is in 4 days! Holy macaroni that sure did creep up quick! Maybe you had agreed to be the host house for all the trick or treat activities for your kids and their friends, or the whole neighborhood! (been there done that!) You may have all different ages of kids, and there may be some that are too young to be out in the dark running around the neighborhood. That’s fine! They can have a blast at home! (Even make the kids who do go out and trick or treat jealous!)

The biggest part of Halloween is the costume. By this point hopefully your kiddos have a costume ready to go, or maybe they have a football jersey they are going to where, or a princess dress. Whatever the costume, the next most important item on the list is to get a candy bag! The best thing you can do is get some washable markers, and some plain old bags and let the kids go at them! Put their names on the bags though, no need to have fights later if one kid gets more candy.

Next, the issue I see this year with Halloween is, its on a Monday! Blech! So you will need a quick easy dinner, of course it still needs to be festive! So, mummy hotdogs! These are so simple to make and are sure to be a hit with everyone, you take hotdogs and wrap them to look like bandages with Pillsbury crescent roll dough, super quick and easy. Bake at 350 for 15 or so minutes (watch for the dough to turn a golden brown color and that should tell you when they are done!)

I don’t usually worry about a desert, especially when most of the kids are running out the door right once its dark in order to go get all the candy they can before its time to come home to bed! (and they end up eating 90% of it anyways!) So, let them run out the door, the young kids who are at home can play all sorts of games in order to win candy and fill up their baskets!

There are so many games that kids can play, they all have so little work to them that you can set up 3 or 4 in a few hours and entertain the kids all night! Check out my pinterest to see all sorts of fun kids games for your party!

Look forward to sharing more holiday crafts, ideas, and DIY’s now that I have some free time and lots of time on pinterest!

Helping Animals- Rescue Idea

Do I think that every animal in the whole world will have a happily ever after story? Where they are loved and spoiled unconditionally? No. I hate to say that at all, but its true. Not all animals will be taken care of the way that they deserve. But I also know that with support and help from Colorado, and surrounding states we can make a lifelong difference for the animals here!

Whats the plan? I know this is going to be a big question, I want to team up with many other animal lovers and open a HUGE animal rescue and sanctuary, we will welcome any and all animals and have vets, trainers, and volunteers who are experienced in all of these areas! The animals will either live out their days here, or get rehomed.

What animals will you take in? Any and all. No animal should be left to fend for itself, or be given away for free. We will go and pick up free animals off of craigslist. No questions asked! Once the animal is brought in we will work hard to get it all settled in and happy, then proceed as needed.

How will you afford it? Grants, donations, and my own money. We will put 100% of the animal adoption profits back in to the rescue. We will work hard directly with companies to get supplies that are needed to run the organization. We will also make as much food on our own as we can and work with local farmers and stores to get the best possible deal that we can.

Animal care? Animals will get the upmost care and will be “free range” if it’s a good fit, at night they will be kenneled and fed on their own (to ensure they get the proper amount of food, and any medication that they may need!) Pens, beds, etc will be cleaned daily along with food dishes, this means we will need multiple teams working together to get everything that needs done done! Animals that don’t do well with others will be kenneled with a large run, and taken out for exercise several times a day, they will also get lots and lots of one on one time with volunteers and staff. (all animals will get one on one time to be trained, and groomed, and cuddled!)

Farm animals will likely be permanent residents, and another source of income! We can offer horse lessons, clinics, etc. with these animals so they can have a job and be spoiled rotten!

This will take years, money, and brains but I know that we can and will do it!

The Truth Behind Struggling to Love Yourself

The Reality of Struggling with Self Love

It comes in waves, sometimes it takes months for it to build up until I break, sometimes it takes one wrong thing out of one persons mouth. Unfortnately there is no telling when one of these “episodes” will come over me. I wish I could, because then, I could stop them from coming. I could stop myself from waking up in the middle of the night just to lay there and cry about the mole on my chin, or the fact that ive been gaining weight. I would find ways to loose the weight and get healthy. But I cant do this, ive tried, I hate being so down about myself but ive been compared to others for so long that Im not sure where I stand. I look down when someone tries to make eye contact worried they think im as ugly as I think I am.

In reality, im not ugly. I have a big heart, I am hard working, Commited, and I give my all when it comes to what I do. But that doesn’t always seem like enough. I don’t ever feel that it is enough. That’s what makes it so hard. I am convinced that people are lying to me all the time because I have been taught through the terrible people that I spend my time with, that you cant trust anyone. You cant let your guard down, every time that I have, ive been screwed over. So, I rely on me only. I don’t trust others and that’s hard! I want to , but I simply cant. So, there is where we will start, by learning how to trust others so that I can start to love myself again. I need to do what makes me happy and nothing else!

So tag along for the ride as I share stories and how I will be healing!

STOP WASTING MONEY!!! Step 1

 Setting up A Budget Binder:

Seriously! QUIT Wasting your hard-earned money! How many times do I have to tell myself this!? Apparently, A LOT because I have still been so terrible this week! I’ve ate out, bought Starbucks, and just wasted money on miscellaneous crap. This needs to stop! Like NOW! So, tonight I am sitting down, putting in my headphones, and setting up our OFFICIAL budget binder! I have it all planned out, the printables made up, and all I need is to run by the office supply store and pick up a binder, and some dividers! So, if you have any interest in learning how to save more than ever before and for once, be in control of your money!

I am going to have 5 sections in my binder, they will have subsections in them so it stays well organized and I can very quickly flip to the sections that I need to look at. This will save time and energy and make it so much easier for me to take a few minutes at the end of the day in order to put it all together! So, the main sections go as follows with their “subsections” listed below.

1.     Home

a.     Cleaning Supplies

b.     Organization Supplies

c.      Decorations

d.     Holiday Goods

2.     Grocery

a.     Food

b.     Coupons to use

c.      Rewards earned

3.     Dates and outings

4.     Vehicles

a.     Payments

b.     Fuel (including receipts!)

c.      Insurance

d.     Copies of all documents (insurance, title, etc.)

5.     Laundry

I am super excited to get this all set up, see where we are wasting money, and with the help of the coupons, where we can save! For more details, a copy of the printables, or to see the finished product stay tuned!

Never Quit! Even if You DON'T Stick to It!

Never Quit, Even if You Don’t Stick to It!

I like many others have gone through diets, exercise programs, and even eating disorders trying to get my weight down and my confidence up. I don’t have the huge support team everyone wishes for, I have me. I know that once I realize that I myself am all I could ever need, I can move mountains. I also know that it isn’t going to be anything over night, but I can get in shape, save my money, and become a very successful person. How? Set my own goals and accomplish them. No one else needs to know, its all up to me and supporting myself!

Here is how you as well can learn to love yourself and achieve all your goals: stay tuned on the blog and on YouTube for my all NEW Love yourself course. This is a real world approach, and will help you see what you need, not me telling you what to do! Rather, me encouraging you day in and day out!

Pro's and Con's of Being a Housewife

The Pro’s and Con’s of Housewife Life:

By: Casey Eisenberg

I today found out that it is very possible that I will be becoming a stay at home soon to be wife. Me and Ty are not yet married but there has been talk of becoming engaged this year. He recently told me that he doesn’t think I should be working in the field getting possibly injured (I have already suffered one injury at the job we have now.) Which means that while he is working 6 days a week I will be at home and/or working small jobs.

The hardest part of being a stay at home wife or housewife is I will lose out on the income that I have coming in now. This means that I won’t have my car, or be able to help with bills, won’t be able to shop, etc. This is hard. I don’t want to be home and make hubby pay for everything! But I also know that I cannot get a real job, we move around so often and it would just be much too hard to keep up and then, it almost is not worth going in and applying because by the time I got the job we would likely be packing up and leaving town again for another job. That doesn’t mean that there is no way to make money. I came up with a few ideas for things that I can do while we are still moving around often possibly.

Another con is that while living in the RV there is only so much you can do. I can completely clean the house, organize, etc. and still have 6-8 hours before hubby gets home. This means either a lot of sitting around or going out all over town and wasting gas and money.

Another con is whenever I want something I would have to ask Ty for it and I do NOT want to make that a habit! I do not what so ever like asking anyone for handouts no matter what the reason may be. I was raised in a way that no matter what I wanted 9/10 of the time I needed to save up my own money and get it myself. I think this is an amazing skill that everyone needs to learn don’t get me wrong.

One major pro of being home is I can in a way take care of hubby in a way that he has never been taken care of before. I can cook, clean, maintain, do laundry, etc. so that on his one day off he can just relax and have a day off or we can go and do fun stuff together. I would love to be able to do this for him. He works so hard and so long every day that I know it would make him happy to be able to just relax and have time for him to himself. He could also come home to a clean and happy house, no need to go to the store, etc.
On more pro is I know a few places that I can work when I am in town and just when I have time/the opportunity. My parents, a horse ranch that I used to work on, and possibly some family friends employing me to do the cleaning, and misc. other jobs. Which means when I am in Colorado I will have income. But it means that I also need to be careful and save as much as possible so when we do go out of town I will still be able to afford my bills, groceries, and laundry

What Needs Cleaned When

What Needs Cleaned When?

By: Casey Eisenberg

There is no need in the world to spend every night when you come home scrubbing every inch of your house! It simply is time consuming and of course, un-realistic. When it comes to having a clean and fresh home, there are only some things that need done every day, others weekly, some monthly, and of course there are some that only need cleaned a few times if not once a year.

Daily this can be done in simply a few minutes if you stay on top of it. Pick up everything off the floor (laundry, toys, etc.) Anything on the floor just makes the house look dirty. No, I don’t have kids but I know when I do, they will have toys either in their room or in a dedicated play area. If you do have kids and you can have a dedicated toy area do it. That means that there is an area for the kids to play in and if there are toys on the ground they are contained. The next thing to do every day, first thing in the morning before anything else, make the beds. This is a great habit to teach kids, how to make their own bed. Trust me, a made bed makes it look a billion times better in that area! At the end of the day after dinner wash any dishes that you have, and load the dishwasher. The following morning when you get up you can put these all away and bam, clean kitchen. Always try and stay caught up with the dishes, wash them after you use them. Letting dishes pile up in the sink can be a disaster and in my opinion makes the kitchen look horrible. There are a few other things that I do daily, these include sweep the kitchen and dining area, disinfect the counters in the bathroom, wipe down the dining table, and wipe down the kitchen (counters, stove, sink, microwave- when anything explodes in there.)

That sums up a day and it takes about an hour a day total. 30 minutes in the morning, 30 minutes at night.  Now that, I can happily handle. On to of the daily work, Once a week on a day off there is more you can do to make it feel more like home. Sweep the whole house, all the hard floors and mop. We use a Swiffer and I love it, easy, and gets all the little bits that you could otherwise miss. On the carpets and rugs (I always pull these up before I sweep and mop.) and spread some vaccum-able carpet cleaner/smell good stuff. ( I use Glade Carpet and room refresher in Fresh linen) It works, and smells amazing. I always let it sit in the carpet for a while, seems to make it last longer. You don’t need to spread down a whole bottle in every room, in this case less is more, especially when you can let it sit for a long time. I also clean the shower, toilet, and wash the sheets on the bed (some weeks I actually change these out more than once, depending on if they start to feel gross!) I also go through the fridge and throw out any leftovers, expired food, etc. We don’t have pets, but I can write about their daily and weekly care. Especially if you have kids that you are trying to make a responsibility chart for. I will also dust the easy to reach areas: cabinet doors, etc. I also wipe all the glass, mirrors, and windows in the house (not the outside, I am much too short to reach these areas!)

Once a month I will completely strip the bed down and wash the comforters, blankets, and all the sheet sets we have (usually only 2.) Check out my how to wash for a complete method to this madness. I will also dust the hard to reach areas (top of the cabinets, fans, etc.) This way I only have to pull out the ladder once a month, we don’t have pets so the dust is minimal. In the summer, I also take advantage of the super nice weather and will go ahead and clean the carpets. We bought a super nice carpet cleaner from Walmart and will use it, We open up the house, wash the rugs and carpets, and then go about other chores out of the house so the carpets can dry. Then when we get home, the house is cleaned up and ready to go.

Around twice a year maybe three times I like to call the mobile RV wash to come wash our RV and wax it. They also wipe down the outside windows, these don’t get too dirty through the time they aren’t washed. We also take the skirting completely off and wash it at the car wash. We lay it in the sun before we fold it up and put it away for the winter, etc.

This method works so well for me and I hope it works well for you! Remember to comment, subscribe, and follow me on Instagram to enter in the cleaning giveaway: All my favorites!

Any questions or comments, leave them below and I will work hard to get back to you ASAP! Thank you!

Caring For your car- get the most!

Caring for your car- getting the most:

By: Casey Eisenberg

One of the biggest investments anyone will make is buying a car! You need a vehicle that you can rely on day in and day out, one that is clean, organized, and well kept. This means that you need to take care of it, every little thing adds up in this case. I was lucky enough to get a 2010 Subaru Outback for my new car. It was used, my boyfriend’s mom found it in the local newspaper and went to go try it out for us! It was owned by the local restaurant owners and they took immaculate care of the vehicle! I mean they had every receipt, they were on top of their car maintenance, they kept it in their garage, and the inside looks brand new!

So where do you start? Buying a car that is that well cared for is hard, given the finances, credit, and ability to buy a brand new vehicle is always of course the best choice that you can make! But, when you are in the market for a new car absolutely do NOT rush the process, put time in to find the best car, and don’t settle! Tomorrow I will be posting about how to be a pro in buying a car when you are young and in experienced.

If you do buy a car, keep all the maintenance suggestions from the dealer! These are there for a reason, they designed the car and know what would be best for it! While you still have the warranty on the new car take it to the dealership and have all the care and maintenance done there, its free and they have very likely worked on many cars just like yours! Therefore they have experience and you know it will get done right, just as much they will often times have a guarantee on their work which means if there is anything wrong with it, you take it back and they will fix it! This is a major reason why you need to keep all the receipts and records.

Quit Wasting Your Hard Earned MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!

Wasteful Spending:

By: Casey Eisenberg

I am so horrible with money! I know we have mostly all said this to ourselves at one time or another, but how do we change this? No, overnight you are not going to have $100,000 in your bank account, that’s not quite how this works. BUT by cutting down and possibly completely out your wasteful spending you can one day look at your bank account and feel unbelievably rich! Anyone can do it! I know that I definitely am, I’m tired of wasting money. I don’t want to look at my bank account and see that I have spent 90% or more of what I have worked so hard to earn!

So? Where do you start? For one week I want you to save up all of your receipts. Every single one, no skipping out. Save them up and keep them somewhere where you aren’t going to accidently loose them. No misplacing them, etc. I want you to KEEP them! Alright, enough emphasis on keeping your receipts, now after 7 days I want you to sit down with a calculator, paper, and different colors of highlighters. Don’t let there be any distractions, you need to take time on this step to really see what money is going where. Now, organize your receipts in to the following piles:

-         Groceries

-         Health (doctor, prescription, etc.)

-         Entertainment

-         Dining out

-         Car/Vehicle care and maintenance

-         Misc.

The next step is to pick one of these piles and look at it. Go through each receipt one by one and with preferably a green highlighter, highlight everything you bought that were necessary (groceries, prescription, fuel, etc.) Stuff that in other means you could NOT live without! On a piece of paper write down these “necessities” and a total

Once you have gone through all of the receipts go ahead and go back through and highlight in red preferably everything you didn’t need, things that you bought just to buy, stuff you could live without. If it’s a whole receipt just go ahead and throw the hole thing in a pile. Then once you have finished going back through the receipts go ahead and once again total up how much this was. Then, take a moment and see how much you made for the week and subtract the “green” number. This is how much you would have kept from your paycheck if you were to only buy the necessities, now subtract the red. You could have instead put that money that you decided to spend on luxuries, in to savings. Doing this weekly, monthly, and annually can make you see truly how much of your income you are wasting. I know when I did it I was shocked! I couldn’t believe how much I was wasting on coffee, clothes, and eating out! It makes me sick thinking that all my hard work is being wasted, I mean come on we all have goals!

Now that you see what you are wasting your money on, look for ways to cut that. Find out how to make your favorite restaurant foods at home, how to make fancy coffee at home. In the end, you will save more money than you know what to do with! That will make you feel good and show you that with time and dedication, you can reach financial and savings goals that once seemed so far away!

Organizing Your Car for Less Than $100

By: Casey Eisenberg

Within the last month I was lucky enough to get my dream car. It’s a 2010 Subaru Outback. Very clean, well kept, and the last owners took better care of it in the time they owned it than any other car we had looked at. Now that I have it though, It is time to get it organized! I don’t usually keep much in my car but what is in there at the moment is kind of just thrown wherever it lands. I do not have kids nor are we planning on any for a few years so that’s what makes it so possible to organize it for less than $100.00. I will post how to organize different cars later this week including with multiple children.

The biggest part of my car that needs organized is the front console. I have multiple cords, bottles with vitamins and supplements, 2 check books, and a mess of other items. In here, I really need to take most of the stuff out that I am not using on a daily basis and take it in the house to put away. The only things that I want in here in the end are: Phone Cord (to be stored in cord turtle from the container store.), AUX cord (also to be stored in cord turtle from the container store), and I will put my reusable shopping bags in here as well. I got these from the container store as well, they were $8.49 each. They fold up small and can hold 50 pounds! When they are open and unfolded they are: (19” x 3” x 17”)

Next, I need to organize the trunk or rear of my car. I go to the grocery store once maybe more a week and recently ran across a website that sells organizers for the trunk! (trunkorganizers.com) They have a 6 way trunk organizer with thermal pack (for hot or cold food) it keeps all the groceries organized, and prevents spilling (That’s never fun to try and clean up!) The nicest thing, it folds up and can be stored flat! Saves space when not in use and is functional?! Doesn’t get much better than that!

            Here are the total prices:

Trunk Organizer:

$47.40 for 8 way trunk organizer with thermal carrier, and a free wet pack! That price is total shipped!

The Container Store:

Cable Turtle: 2 @ $4.99 ea. (these hold up to 27” each.) :$9.98

(I ordered these with other items so they shipped free.)

This means I got my WHOLE car organized for much less than $100.00!
This method and these items would work well in any car you needed organized! Stay tuned to win your own car organizer kit! Remember to subscribe and share all over, we need 10 subscribers to win these items!

SIMPLE ways to save money!

Simply Ways to Save Money!

By: Casey Eisenberg

Want to have tons of cash? Be able to afford what you want? Then listen to this! It is totally possible for you to have money in your bank, be financially stable, and be able to have money to spend on what you want! (within reason of course!)

There are quite a few ways to add the bucks up, the simplest, is to stop WASTING! I know, I did this for a long period of time, buying things just to buy them, I was making excellent money and thought it didn’t matter. But that’s not the case, you want to have money to go on trips, be stable, have a cushion to fall back on in hard times, and so much more!

Most young people don’t see the value of money, even when I was young I blew all the money I made, I went out to eat every day, would get Starbucks all the time, bought horse tack that I didn’t need, bought clothes that I didn’t need, etc. I know that’s crazy but it’s the realities, we need to teach people and children how to be smart with money.

This brings me to my first point, the biggest way you can save money is to start not eating out all the time! I know coffee is amazing, but you can make it at home for dirt cheap and still have it taste excellent. This doesn’t mean that you will be getting your same fancy drinks from starbucks or wherever you choose to go, but coffee is coffee I have come to find out. Also, running out and grabbing something for lunch while you are at work can lead you to not only make you spend a lot of money but also creates unhealthy habits. Trust me I know, Ive been there, I would go to the gas station and get several sodas, chips, and fried food. I ended up feeling sick, bloated, and had acne all over (eww!) Once I stopped going to starbucks, and the gas station/fast food restaurants all over, I saved ON AVERAGE $150.00 a week. That’s $600.00 a month! I mean holy macaroni! That’s awesome! That’s a lot of money over time!

Another huge way that you can same money is to stop shopping all the time! I used to go every weekend with my brother to the mall, spend all the extra money I had and most of the time I would get home, take the tags off, and it would end up sitting in my closet or in my drawers and never worn. I realized just how bad I was when I moved in to a camper. I had 10 trash bags STUFFED full of clothes, most of which still had tags, were the wrong size and I never took them back, or had only been worn once. That made me feel horrible I was sick that there were thousands of dollars in clothes laying there that were useless to me. I gladly donated them to a family friend who was in a bad situation. But that’s a lot of money I could have saved!

Another thing that you can do to save money is to shop the sales! I have learned to look at sales ads and then make my meal plan for the week from there. This makes it easier to save money and still eat excellent meals every night! The only things that I don’t always get on sale are the basics, but they are things we need. Also, canned goods, when they go on sale go ahead and stock up! Especially if its something that you are using all the time or very often. I love bath and body works, and having decorations around the house in the holidays, and living a higherend lifestyle, this isn’t cheap! But sales help so much, I can still get bath and body works soaps and candles, I just have to wait till they go on sale for $6.50 each or less, then I can buy more than one and still save money! Decorations; I can buy these either after the holiday and then save them for next year, or go to the thrift store! I got a brand new welcome mat at a thrift store that was from Pier 1 last year for $7.00! You can NOT beat the prices you will get here! Often times they also have 50% off days and then double score!

If it is possible, you can buy in bulk and save. We have a sams club membership and we can get a lot of things there for less per unit. The only issue that we tend to run in to is we don’t have all that much space in thee camper, especially in the fridge and freezer. We do often buy noodles, spaghetti sauce, and rotel at sams though due to the fact that we use those almost weekly!

Another way to save money is with rewards cards. I have a king soopers card and it helps lower the cost of gas. I am also in a few rewards clubs that send me special offers and free gifts when I spend so much money.

All of these and more have helped me to save tons of money just in the last few months! If you want to know more about any of these single topics please comment below! Also, I will be having a giveaway once I reach 10 active followers! So share with your friends, subscribe, and comment and I will announce when the giveaway will take place as well as what will be in the giveaway! Thank you for coming by!

Preparing for Unemployment

Planning For Unemployment:

By: Casey Eisenberg

You have to be prepared for the absolute worst. You can’t think that for forever you will have a job and will always have an income, especially when you work in the industry that we are working in. I also found out that unfortunately I may not be going to be working with the company that we are with due to some personal and family reason.

I know this isn’t something that you want to spend your night thinking about. (Trust me, this makes me stay up and toss and turn!) But it is something that I now believe everyone should be prepared for. I am horrible with money I am not going to sugar coat it. The money that I make here is so much compared to what I have made in the past! But, now that there is a reality of what could happen soon it has completely changed my outlook and what I need to do. I may only have 6-7 more months of work with the company before I don’t have a job. This means pinching every penny I can for as long as I am working with this company. It means I need to learn to budget so that I do not lose my car that I just got! But also so me and my hubby can go on living the life we do, I don’t want to lose our trips, date nights, etc. Which won’t be easy, but it is something that I am prepared to do and will make sure and do!

What’s the biggest thing that you can do to prepare for the possible financial hardships that can come? You can save. Save every penny that you possibly can and I mean save it. Find out your bills that you must pay (rent, food, car, electric, groceries, etc.) and see if this is an amont you can save. I am very lucky, my hubby pays rent, and such. I am responsible for my car, insurance, groceries, laundry, etc. This means I can potentially save up enough to pay the bills that I have and need to pay for hopefully the next few years until my car is paid off at least. So, what is the total of my bills monthly? $1,000 is safe. More than safe, but what I feel comfortable saying. I make around $3,500 a month, meaning I can save $2,500 a month for the next 6 months. But that’s not enough to cover 3 years of bills! What does that mean? Hopefully by the 3 year mark I will have brought in enough income from misc. outside jobs that I can continue to afford the bills and not lose my car or be a free loader. (Though hubby is just fine with that.)

It’s scary knowing you may lose your job, but you can still save and make sure you are as prepared as possible for what can go wrong! I hope hearing my plan will help you!
