The Realities of RV Life
I haven't spent my whole life in an RV. But I have spent the last 7 months living in one with my amazing boyfriend. You are probably wondering what would make someone want to live in an RV? Well, quite honestly I love the idea! He lives in one because he works for the pipeline, so he needs to be able to get up and move to different states with where the work is.
We live in a gorgeous 2015 bighorn (sadly currently in the shop because of major hail damage...) its very spacious, has a full kitchen (including a residential fridge!) and for just the 2 of us, its beyond perfect! I can get the whole has deep cleaned in 2 hours which leaves more time to get other chores done and of course spend time with my amazing boyfriend. Yes, the kitchen is small but we manage. We don't have much, just the essentials, and in the storage trailer of course we have tons of extra things.
The hardest part about the lifestyle that we live is no animals. I have my horses at my parents house but after having dogs for years and years I miss them! One day, we will have pets again but its unfortunate that our lifestyle doesn't allow for it.
Living in this close of a space can be awkward at times. You will get used to having someone around all the time. He can be showering and Ill be trying to do hair and makeup. Its just how it goes. We are fortunate and don't often have any issues whatsoever with eachother so this doesn't bother us. Some call us crazy because we live and work together which means lots and lots of time spent together! I wouldn't trade a minute for the world though!
So this means you live in a small area, have to minimalize what you have and just settle. A lot..
